![]() Tweet me your screenshots I’d love to see them. Comment if you have any questions or are interested in a follow up on a more intermediate guide. Tip: Get a dam build quick so you can pump water even through the drought. That’s the basics covered you are now ready to take on the big wide world of Timberborn and try to survive your first drought. Beavers will make more beavers when they are spare rooms in the housing, so now is a good time to build a load of houses. That is not ideal but homes have not been essential until now so they will have to deal with it.Īs your district grows and you need more beavers for the jobs and to get those beavers you will need housing for them to reproduce. Up until now you may have noticed all you beavers are sleeping on the floor. This will allow you to plant three types of trees the maple are the most efficient but they take a long time to grow so I recommend planting all three types in equal amounts. These will be used to unlock the forester. Trees are next as I mentioned before you will need science points. Add more farmhouses as your population grows. Building farms is the next step.įirst you are going to want a farm house this will allow you to mass produce carrots like nobody’s business. Farmingīy now you might be noticing your recourses getting low. Place and Invester hut preferably on non green tiles to make the most of the fertile land for crops later. Science might not seem that important this early but trust me you will need the science points sooner than you think. You want to place a log pile close to the lumberjack flags and a warehouse close to the gatherer flags. Storage is probably the next think I would build as you will quickly run out of room to store your berries and eventual carrots, lots and lots of carrots. Make sure you path between them and your district centre too. Next to the trees place a lumberjack flag. You should have some berry bushes nearby place a gatherer flag near those.ģ. On a nearby river place a water pump and next to that a water tank.Ģ. These are the first resources we need and they are all readily available to you.ġ. This then give me a clear idea of what I’m planning to do and how to manage my resources. You might think you only want to place a few buildings to start but I find it better to plan as much as I can and then use the priority tool to pick what gets built first. When starting any map we are looking to pause the game and plan as much of the building as we can. Food and water this is what we will be prioritising first.Įverything in the world takes wood to be made so getting a constant source of wood before the natural resource runs out is essential. In between floods, droughts, and resource shortages, the city builder requires you to pay careful attention to multiple things, which is why having console commands and cheats on hands never hurts. ![]() Your beavers are cute little thinks that only need two things to survive. Creating a stable beaver settlement in Timberborn is no small feat even if you dont have to worry about pesky humans ruining things along the way. The game is currently in early access so expect some bumps along the way. Pause - First thing you do when you start the game is pause (spacebar).
